Though we are not going to partake in any wine tasting events on this trip, vineyards are an important part of The Black Forest culture and will be our next stop! We are going to head to the Durbach Vineyards located close to the Rhine, Strasbourg France, Freiburg, and Switzerland. Durbach is known as the 'golden wine village' and is a very popular stop for tourists. The wine growing community dates back to the 14th century. Here we will see many half timbered houses decorated in attempt to save the beauty from the past.
